Another pair of images taken today in Dundee Techology Park. Left The 1710 ex Apollo Way journey, using Strathtay 502, picks up a straggler on the other side of the road. Right The 1713 journey commences from Explorer Road 1708, opposite the Inland Revenue building. It picks up opposite the Apollo Way bus stop - hence a good amassed crowd waiting on the "other" side of the road. Ran with Dennis Dart SLF 310.

Another shot of Travel Dundee 67, seen in Dundee High Street.

Monday 7 July 2003

Travel Dundee 167 seen in Explorer Road, Dundee Technology Park, on the afternoon Service 93
Dennis Dart 121, also of Travel Dundee, seen heading down the Hilltown on the 4A

Stagecoach in Perth Mercedes minibus 40046 seen in Dundee High Street, on an evening working of Service 16.

Sunday 6 July 2003

A pair of images taken today in Dundee City Centre. Left It was unusual to see a PrimeLine branded bus - Travel Dundee 174 - on Service 11. Usually Sundays can see the 9X/10X branded buses on these, as they are real-time equipped - but, today, 174 proved a replacement. Seen on the last 11 ending at Ninewells Hospital. Right Moffat & Williamson Leyland Tiger FSU 393 is seen in the Nethergate, dropping off on a Mecca Bingo run.

Following last week's trip to one end of the Strathtay operating area, took a trip the other way to the west - i.e. Blairgowrie, Spittalfield, Perth, Alyth, Kirriemuir. Also got a photgraph of Travel Dundee's newest arrial - 67, formerly TWM 1481, Y722 CJW. Click here to view.

Angus Show today - and for the first time, a special service provided by JP Mini Coaches. The trip also included a hurl to Brechin, Laurencekirk (as far as the Strathtay network goes north/east on Saturdays), then Stonehaven, Montrose, and back to Dundee. Most enjoyable run! Click here to view.

Monday 23 June 2003

First day on the road for Travel Dundee Optare Excel 205 - which, conviently enough, ended up on the 93 at the Tech Park. The Connex Bus logo on the London number dispaluy was often mistaken for a 9 - which this bus was in front of for a substantial part of the way - but the driver added a hand-written 93 in the windscreen.
Took the 93 through to the "temporary" Douglas terminus - due to roadworks the present 28/29/93/94 terminus cannot be reached, and as a result, buses are using the lay-by outside Sainsbury's in Baldovie Road, and turning at the mini roundabout. Photos of 85, 145, and 64 all seen in Baldovie Road.

Also, seen on the right, is Optare Solo 200 seen in Union Street - first time I have seen one on the "inner circle".

Sunday 22 June 2003

A pair of images taken today in Dundee City Centre. Left Stagecoach in Fife's Glenrothes depot do one working on the 42 on Sundays, in-between 67 journeys. Fife Council recently announced the 67 (Sundays and other journeys via Stratheden Hospital) will continue for another year from August, presumably with another review of the hospital. Anyway, 40095 seen in the Seagate. Right Seen in East Marketgait is Morrison's M278 LOD, a Devon Conversions bodied Ford Transit for this West Ferry based private hire & school run operator.

Saturday 21 June 2003
Trip today using the Stagecoach "SuperDayRider" to maximum advantage. Travelled from Dundee to Perth, Crieff, Stirling, Dunfermline, Ferrytoll - across the forth to Edinburgh (for a large selection of photos!) - then back via St Andrews to Dundee. Before I left, photgraphed Leasks of Lerwick P20 JLS - also included in the selection. Click here to view.

Saturday 14 June 2003
OS tour to Arbroath, Montrose depots of Strathtay, Stonehaven depot of Stagecoach Bluebird, Aberdeen city centre, First in Aberdeen depot, and Stagecoach Bluebird depot Aberden depot. Also a photo of St Andrew's (Stagecoach in Fife) new toy in 16044, P644 SEV. You can see all of these here.
